You touch down in Kathmandu, Nepal at the only international airport in the country. From there, you’ll be transported to your hotel. Freshen up before meeting the company representative to get briefings. The company guide will suggest a few sites to visit and things to do based on available time. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Today we prepare for the trek and check the last-minute checklist for trekking gear and if needed shopping around Thamel. After lunch visit Kathmandu UNESCO world heritage sites, Kathmandu Durbar Squire, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bouddhanath Stupa. Overnight at Hotel.
After an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, you will begin your trek to Phakding. You will follow the Dudh Koshi River and pass through several small villages, including Chaurikharka and Ghat, before arriving in Phakding.
We start as early as possible, as our actual hike starts today. On a chilled morning, we start our hike amidst nature. Walking along the northern bank of the Dudh Koshi River, we will cross several suspension bridges embellished with prayer flags. The cheerful and vibrant color of the prayer flags all along the trail will make it remarkably exciting and appealing.
After a few hours of walking, we reach Monjo Village from where the Sagarmatha National Park starts. We get our permits registered there and follow the trail through a dense jungle. A tough climb awaits from here through the thick forest, where we slowly see the face of Mount Everest. As the mountains emerge, the path becomes more astonishing, making it easy to walk.
Today is a rest day in Namche Bazaar to help your body acclimatize to the high altitude. You can take a short hike to Khumjung village or explore Namche Bazaar’s markets and shops
Today, you’ll trek to Tengboche, a beautiful village with a famous monastery. The trail passes through several small villages and forests, and you’ll have great views of Ama Dablam, one of the most iconic peaks in the region. You can also visit the monastery and learn more about the Sherpa culture and religion.
Today’s trek takes you to Dingboche, a small village surrounded by spectacular mountains. You will climb up a steep hill and pass through several small villages, including Pangboche, before arriving in Dingboche.
Another rest day to help your body acclimatize to the high altitude. You can take a short hike to Nagarjun Hill or explore Dingboche’s surroundings.
Today, you will trek to Lobuche, a small village located near the Khumbu Glacier. Along the way, you will pass through Duglha and climb up a steep hill to reach Lobuche.
After breakfast in Lobuche, you will start trekking to Lobuche Base Camp, located at the base of Lobuche Peak. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse.
Today is a rest day at Lobuche Base Camp to help your body acclimatize to the high altitude. You will also spend the day preparing for the climb, including practicing your climbing techniques and learning how to use your climbing gear.
After breakfast, you will begin your climb to High Camp, located at an altitude of 5,400m. The climb is steep and challenging, but offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. You will spend the night at High Camp.
Today is the big day! You will start your climb to the summit of Lobuche Peak early in the morning, around 2-3am. The climb is steep and technical, but your experienced climbing guide will assist you every step of the way. After reaching the summit, you will descend back to High Camp and then to Base Camp.
After breakfast in Lobuche Base Camp, you will start trekking back down to Pheriche. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and passes through several small villages, including Duglha and Dingboche.
Today, you will trek back to Namche Bazaar, following the same trail you took on the way up. You will spend the night in Namche Bazaar.
We will begin our final day trek through small villages and narrow forests. We pass through the thrilling suspension bridges on our way back. We will finally reach Phakding after a gentle walk through Benkar. As we move ahead onto Lukla, we further reach a small village. Eventually, we reach Lukla following the path where we stay overnight. Lukla is the starting and ending point of our trek, and it will, without a doubt, make both the starting and ending wonderful. With Lukla’s handful of shops, bars, cafes, and even a faux Starbucks there are plenty of things to occupy our time as we reflect on our experience.
We leave for Kathmandu on a 40-minute scenic flight, with hearts filled with memories, experiences, and feelings of achievement. The way back from Lukla Airport, also known as the world’s most extreme airport, is remarkable. After 13 days of adventure, hardship, and togetherness, this is where we conclude our journey. We will escort you back to your hotel upon reaching Kathmandu. You can wander the alleys of Kathmandu on your own and end the day with good food and a little music. We can also manage a tour around the city as per your request. We will be glad to assist you in your journey anywhere in Nepal.
