11 Days Everest Heli Trek will be your once in lifetime experience as you will be making an iconic trip to the Himalayas. You will use the same trekking route used by the mountaineers making their way for the expedition to the top of the world, Mt. Everest. You will be meeting many trekkers from all over the world during this trip fulfilling their dream to be at the base camp of Mt. Everest.

You will be passing through many suspension bridges, monasteries, mani flags, mani walls and some beautiful and awe-inspiring views during your walk. A close exploration of the lifestyle of Sherpa people living in the Himalayan region of Nepal with their own culture and tradition is another attraction of this trip. 

The 11 Days Everest Heli Trek starts with the scenic and thrilling flight to Lukla. You will get to see some of the mountains, some dotted settlements, forests, streams and many more during the adventurous flight. When you are at Lukla, you will be welcomed by the other crew members at the Lukla airport. Your trek starts from here and the trek experience will be a wonderful experience which will be with you for a lifetime.

During the Everest Base Camp helicopter Return trek, you will be trekking to the Everest Base Camp and after you will fly through the Helicopter from the Gorakshep.

In the last part of this trip, we will be returning back to Kathmandu in  the adventurous helicopter flight. Do we need Permit in Everest Heli Trek 11 Days?

Yes, we need following permit which are as follows:

Sagarmatha National Park Permit/Entrance Fee

The Sagarmatha National Park Permit/Entrance Fee is required to enter the natural heritage site(Sagarmatha National Park)in Everest region. The National Park permit can be obtained from the National Park office at Lukla. The National Park permit cost NPR 2,000 per person.

Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Permit

The Pasang Lhamu Rural municipality permit is taken by the local government of the Everest region. The Pasang Lhamu rural municipality permit can be obtained from the office of rural municipality in Lukla office. During your whole trek,you need to have the permit with you. Along the trail the governmental office/checkpost will ask you to show the permit entrance.

Trekkers Information Management System(TIMS card)

The Trekkers Information Management system( TIMS card) is the way of keeping the record of all the trekkers 

11 Days Everest Heli Trek Cost

As for the 11 Days Everest Heli Trek ,the cost with the following details comes across. 

Hotel/Lodge/Tea House: During the Everest Base camp Heli trek, all your accommodation will be on the tea House/ Lodge in the high mountains. With the room on a sharing basis and a common bathroom for all.

Permits: While trekking to the Everest Base Camp trek, you need to obtain the Pasang Lhamu rural municipality permit and Sagarmatha National Park which cost NPR 2000 and NPR 3000 respectively.

Nepal Visa: Nepal visa is very necessary to enter the Nepal Territory. The Nepal visa is available on the arrival section in the Department of the Immigration in Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu. It costs USD 15 for 30 days ,USD 30 for 45 days etc.

Insurance: The travel insurance is most during the trek in high elevation such as Everest Base Camp trek. Make sure that the insurance covers all your emergencies such as Heli rescue, Altitude Sickness and Loss of your accessories etc.

Transportation: The Transportation is the mode to reach the destination. You need to get the vehicles as per your needs and the requirements. The cost of a vehicle depends on the model of vehicles you choose for your adventure in Nepal.

Private Helicopter Rate/Cost

For the Everest Base camp Helicopter Return trek, the cost of the helicopter mainly depends upon the types and the model of helicopter you are using. Additionally also the company from which you are operating the Everest Base Camp Heli trek.

As if you are taking the service from a  company such as Everest Helicopter, it charges around USD 200 on a per person basis for an hour. Though if you are willing to explore on a luxurious Everest Base camp Helicopter return Trek with the companies like Simrik Air and Air Dynasty, the price comes around USD 500 per person.

In addition, in the high altitude the helicopter cannot carry and fly with more KG. So as a result it also needs to decrease the certain weights to the lower altitude and again can fly with a similar kilogram.

Best Time to Trek 11 Days Everest Heli Trek

The best time/season to explore the giant mountains of Nepal are considered as Autumn and Spring. Which falls in the months of September to November and March to May respectively.

Spring(March to May)

Everest Luxury trek Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel

Welcome to the land of Everest!! On arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our staff members will greet you with flowers and a big smile on your face. We will drive to the Hotel from the Airport which is a 30-45 minutes drive from the Airport. It depends on the traffic condition as well.

Along with staff will help you  for the check in procedure and you may have fresh time in a hotel. Also you may get the additional leftover gears and the equipment from the Thamel area as well. Overnight stay in a Hotel.

Day 2Fly to Lukla from Kathmandu 32 minutes and trek to Phakding 3 to 4hrs trek.2600m overnight at lodge

Today, you will transfer to the domestic Terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport to catch the flight to Lukla. The flight to Lukla from the capital city will be 32  minutes. 

During the Kathmandu Lukla flight, you will be blessed with the most beautiful high giant mountain of the World.

Reaching the Lukla Airport -also known as the Tenzing Hillary Airport. We will get the luggage. Hand over to the Porters and will stop for coffee and tea break. Afterward, we will commence our trek towards the beautiful village of Phakding. Along the way today, you will be walking downhill and on the plain wide pathway. Overnight in a Tea House/ Lodge.

Day 3Phakding Trek to Namche Bazaar 6 to 7 hours 3410m overnight at Lodge

As being more excited to witness Mount Everest very quickly. We will now commence our trek towards the beautiful town of Namche Bazaar. The Namche Bazaar is known as the tourist hub center, the gateway to the Everest region.

We will be crossing the path with the stones and the wide trekking path along the riverside. During your trek to the Namche Bazaar, you will witness the many donkeys and yaks carrying goods and products in the high mountains. You will be walking on a plain slope and climbing at the same pace as you reach the Hillary suspension bridge. Upon reaching the Suspension Bridge, you will cross the Hillary Bridge where you will encounter fast-flowing wind and beautiful mountains. 

From here till Namche you will be trekking uphill and overnight stay in a Hotel/Tea house.

Day 4Leisure day at Namche Bazaar/Hike to Everest View Hotel(3,800 M)

Today!! Having breakfast in front of the Thamserku and Kongde. You will have good bondings with the mountains and we will commence our short hike towards the Hotel Everest View. 

From here you will experience the first View of Everest and many other giant Himalayas. Along the way, you will meet up with many more trekkers. As you reach the Hotel Everest you may enjoy tea, coffee, and breakfast.

During your hike, you will feel the people enjoying the Everest Heli Trek for a quick and reliable stay in the Mountains. Overnight stay in a Tea house/ Lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5Namche Trek to Tengboche 3800m

Having breakfast in Namche Bazaar. We will start our 11-day Everest Heli Trek towards Tengboche. Today our trail passes through the wide trekking path with the many stupas, Chorten, etc. 

You will also encounter Mt. Amadablam and the first sight of Mount Everest. As you keep on trekking towards the Tengboche you will witness the close view of the Thenmerku on your right side. The trail is all plain as we reach the Khumjuma Village and after the trail starts to descend to the river side.

After that, we will be trekking through the uphill until we reach Tengboche. Overnight at Tea House/Lodge.

Day 6Tengbouche Trek to Dingboche 6 hours trek 4400 m overnight at lodge

Waking up near the Tengboche Monastery and exploring the Tengboche Monastery this morning. After having breakfast early in the Morning, we will commence our trek towards the Dingboche. 

In the first Phase, we will be descending downhill and will be enjoying the plain trail to the suspension bridge. As we reach the suspension bridge we will ascend the mountains. Where you will be welcomed by the Stupa, carved Mani, and the Chorten along the way to 11 Days Everest Base Camp Heli Trek. We will have our lunch on the way and start the trek. 

As we gain the high altitude, you will witness the more close-up and beautiful views of the giant mountains. After reaching the Dingboche, you may take a rest and enjoy the coffee at the cafe. Overnight in a Lodge/Tea House.

Day 7Acclimatization -Dingboche

Today is the day of acclimatization and exploration around Dingboche. You will be having breakfast and enjoying the beautiful mountain views around and you will be going for a hike to Chhukung for exploration.

On the way to Chhukung Valley, we will be walking along the Imja River upwards. You will be walking through the scenic trail enjoying the view of Lhotse Shar’s massive south wall, Amadablam on both sides, and Island Peak straight ahead. Here at Chhukung, we will have lunch and explore the valley in the afternoon.

We will be returning to Dingboche after some good time exploring. Upon arrival at Dingboche, we can have some rest or explore around the village. Overnight at lodge/Tea House.

Day 8 DingbocheTrek to Lobuche 5 hours trek 4910 m overnight at Lodge

After a day of acclimatization, we will continue our 11-day Everest Heli Trek today. After breakfast, we will start our hike approaching the higher altitude and alpine deserted land. We will continue our walk through Thukla and Pheriche where Trekkers Aid Post is located.

We will continue through the trial towards Thukls Pass which will be a bit challenging ascent. We will get an awesome panoramic view of the Nuptse, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, and other peaks around. After crossing the pass, we will be there at Lobuche which offers beautiful views around the settlement area.

We can have some rest or coffee in a cafe here at Lobuche enjoying the breathtaking views. Overnight at the Lodge/Tea House.

Day 9Lobuche Trek to Gorak Shep 3 hours and Hike to EBC (5364m) overnight at Gorak shep 5100m

Today!! The day of accomplishment of reaching the final destination of the trek, Everest Base Camp. After breakfast, we will start our ascent towards Gorakshep for the first section of the day. We will be walking through the rough terrain to the small settlement of Gorak shep. It will take around 3 Hours to get here.

Getting to Gorak Shep, we will have tea and check in at the Lodge. After that, we will hike to the awaited destination Everest Base Camp which lies at an elevation of 5364 m above sea level. You may capture the pictures and the videos and spend quality time in Everest Base Camp with your trek mates.

Exploring the destination, we will return to the Goraksheep for our overnight stay.

Day 10Early morning hike to Kala Patter (5545m) and Fly back to Kathmandu

In the early morning around 2 AM. You along with the Guide will hike to the Kalapathar also known as the Black Stone. The hike will fully ascend to the hilltop of the Kalapathar. Which offers beautiful mountain ranges along with Mount Everest, Mt Cho Oyu, and Mt Lhotse, etc.

As after we will return to the Lodge/tea house in Gorak Shep. We will enjoy our breakfast and we will get ready for the Everest Base camp Helicopter Return back to the capital city of Kathmandu. 

Day 11Departure Day

Today is your last day of your trip to Nepal. You will be provided with the farewell program by our representative and we will bid you the farewell. After the farewell, you will be taken to the Tribhuvan International Airport three hours before your scheduled flight.
