Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel in Thamel

Upon your arrival at the International Airport at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our staff/representative. After the warm welcome, you will now be assisted with your transfer to your hotel in Thamel through the drive. The drive of 30 to 45 minutes will take you to your hotel where you can get refreshed and have some rest. 

In the late afternoon, you will be taken for a strolling tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square. UNESCO’s World Heritage Site offers you some cultural, religious as well as historical infrastructure and vibes around. You will also get to visit the temple of the Living Goddess, Kumari during the exploration.

After the exploration, we will return to Thamel in the evening. We will spend our overnight at the hotel today.

Day 2:Drive from Kathmandu (1400 M)to -Keung Border (145 Km) 06-07 Overnight Keung in Tibet side

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, we will start our Nepal and Tibet Tour with a drive to the Kerung border on the second day of our trip. We will drive through the beautiful sceneries, landscapes, and local settlements. We will also get to see some beautiful mountain views on our drive today.

When we reach the Kerung border, we will carry out all the procedures on the Nepalese border side and cross the bridge. We will also process all required formalities on the Tibet side too. After all the formalities, we will continue our drive to the city of Kerung. Overnight at a hotel in Kerung.

Day 3:Kerung - Tingri (4300m) / Lhatse (4,350m): 235 km 5-6 Hours

Today!! We will start our exploration of Tibet. We will enjoy our breakfast at our hotel. After breakfast, we will start our drive towards Tingri. The drive will take around 6 hours to reach Tingri from Kerung.

On our drive today we will be driving through two passes. The passes are Nyalam Tong La Pass at an altitude of 5120 meters and Lung La Pass at an altitude of 5080 meters. You will get spectacular views from these two passes. You will get awesome mountain views and the mountains you will get to see are Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, and Mt Sishapangma. On our drive today, we will also get to explore Pikucho Lake on the way. We will spend our overnight at a hotel in Tingri.

Day 4:Tingri/Lhaste - Shigatse (3,900 M): 245 Km5-6 Hours

After breakfast, we will continue on our Nepal and Tibet tours. We will be driving towards Shigatse today. The scenic drive of today will take us to the highest pass of the trip, Gyatchu La Pass. The pass lies at an altitude of 5220 meters. From the Gyatchu La Pass, the road to Mt. Kailash also bifurcates to the west. We will continue on our drive toward Shigatse. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5:Shigatse - Gyantse (3,950m)- Lhasa 350km

Today, we will go sightseeing near Shigatse. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will make our visit to the well-known landmark Panchen Lama’s Tashilhunpo Monastery. We will explore around the monastery for some time and we will start our drive towards Gyantse.

On our drive, we will stop at the Yamdrok Tso Lake for exploration. We will also get to explore the Brahmaputra river which is a lifeline for the Tibetans. We will continue on our drive toward Lhasa. Overnight at the hotel in Lhasa.

Day 6 - 7: Sightseeing In Lhasa

We will have two days for the exploration of the mystical Lhasa city. The tour of the remarkable landmark of Lhasa will be quite impressive. We will make our visit to the famous Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. Exploring the areas around the temple, we will also explore the renowned Barkhor Street.

We will also make our visit to the Drepung monastery, and Sera monastery. These places are also beautiful and they should not be missed. On our two days exploring Lhasa, we will also have a chance to explore the culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the people of Tibet. We can also interact with locals for which our guide will be helping as a translator.

In some free time these two days, you can go for a strolling tour around on your own. You can get some souvenirs in the markets. You can also enjoy some street markets in Lhasa in the evening. You will spend the overnight at the hotel in Lhasa for these two days

Day 8:Lhasa to Shegar Drive Back O/N at Guest House 655 Km 8-9 Hours

We will enjoy our breakfast at Lhasa. Now, we will be driving back towards Kathmandu from today. We will start our drive after breakfast and our destination for today will be Shegar.

We will be driving, enjoying the stunning scenery around the highway. Upon arrival at Shegar, we will check into the hotel and have the required rest after the long drive. Overnight at the Guest House.

Day 9:Shegar - Kerong to Kathmandu 425 km 9-10 Hours

Today is our last day in Tibet. We are returning to Kathmandu through the Kerung border. We will enjoy breakfast at the hotel and start our journey towards the Kerung border. Upon arrival at the border, we will fulfill all the procedures there. After all the procedure, we will continue on our drive saying goodbye to Tibet for this trip.

 

We will be driving through the Syabru Besi, Dhunche, and many other settlements on our journey towards Kathmandu. We will check into our hotel upon our arrival in Kathmandu after the long drive. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10:Departure

Today is the last day of this trip. We will provide you with some farewell on the last day of this trip. After the farewell, one of our representatives will assist you with your transfer to the airport. You will be taken to the airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight. The trip ends here.
